Heritage Park, San Diego - July 16, 2011
Presiding Agent - Lithobius Quick, Agt. 1
Agent No. 5
Mobius Terrus Phlasque aka Thomas Hale
Induction Date: July 16, 2011
Dept. Research, Development, Reconnaissance
Photographer of the Starburner Crew, master tintype photographer, pennyfarthing enthusiast, weapons specialist - black powder, high voltage, cooper, fabricater - all materials, costumer.
Tom Hale (Mobius Terrus Phlasque) was born and raised in Alabama… but managed to escape at 18 and joined the Navy where he traveled the world. He saw a great many things...some good, some bad…too much to list here. Eventually retired in San Diego with his wife where he is now connected with the Starburner agency.
A tinkerer from a young age (much to his father’s dismay) Tom disassembled the lawn mower and most power tools just to see how they worked. Eventually they were all re-assembled, but Mr. Hale says, “it never ran right again…”
An avid Mountain Man re-enactor, Tom spends a great deal of time in the woods surviving in 1800’s period kit and teaching survival skills, like distilling shine and brewing beer…. Amateur gunsmith and machinist he fabricates the parts to maintain and repair his antique gun collection.

Another passion is photography. Wet Plate (tin type) photography is fascinating as all the chemistry and photo processing is completed on the spot. A bit like an 1800’s Polaroid.
Tom earned his pilot’s license and enjoys the occasional flight up the California coast to “Clear the mind”. He also is hang glider and paraglider….a triple air threat. He obtained the rank of Colonel in the Commemorative Air Force and supports the Tuskegee Airman mobile air show.
Finally, Tom is enrolled in culinary school. He has been cooking since he was 8 and owns his own personal chef service. Loves to create in the kitchen…”It’s like a great big chemistry set. Mix the correct ingredients and POOF! You got a chocolate cake. Screw it up and you get a brick.”

Callum Kerr aka Cameron Wingate Inglis
Induction Date: July 16, 2011
Dept. Adaptive Chronology
Historian
Cameron Wingate Inglis is currently a student studying history, and is in the process of achieving his B.A. from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo. While there has been no intended focus of study as of yet, he has enjoyed studying Southeast Asia, particularly the history of colonialism and the developments of the Cold War. He also enjoys studying the Enlightenment-era through contemporary Britain. His particular interest in the U.K. is to understand colonialism from the view of the colonizer and the rationalization of subjecting millions of people to inequality. His more contemporary interest is in the various punk and political movements which have developed since 1975.
Cameron’s knowledge of history expresses itself through his interest in steampunk. He has enjoyed researching aesthetics, ideologies, events, and technologies utilized in the mid-18th to early 20th centuries, and which influences his contribution to the steampunk community. Though a novice craftsman and a budding tailor, Cameron’s largest contribution to the Starburner Galactic Courier Service has been his knowledge of history
Various hobbies which color Cameron's life...and which he always enjoys discussing, as well...include brewing beer, blunted steel combat, an active interest in aviation and music.
